Organ students are rare, and should always be encouraged. I put myself out to accommodate them.
It used to be thought that keyboard players should only come to the organ after Grade 4 or 5 piano, and when their feet could reach the pedals, but there are now tutor books for beginners on the pipe organ which don’t assume any prior knowledge or skills. There is more organ music written without pedals than with it (I don’t know if that statement is actually true - it is less true with each passing year - but for much of the organ’s history, it didn’t have pedals at all.)
Obviously, you need access to an organ, either at home or a church. Organ is the only instrument where I make home visits.
Peterborough & District Organists’ Association assists with free lessons for starter organists.
